Hello,
Is it mandatory to install java-1.8.0-openjdk?
In Debian stable release (Debian 11) there are only two versions available. openjdk-11 and openjdk-17.
I have installed openjdk-17 but then I get an error when starting tomcat.
Thanks !

Currently the demo version of LinceBI that we offer on the web is based on Pentaho BI Server 8.3, which only supports Java 8. Soon we will offer for download a version of LinceBI based on Pentaho BI Server 9.3 and you will be able to use up to Java 11.
In the meantime you can use Azul Zulu’s OpenJDK builds on Debian:
